This is the piece that transitions the prologue into scene one. The prologue ends on a sort of melancholy note, and the goal was to capture that feeling in the moment, and then when the scene blacks out, make the song sound much more fun and upbeat.
This to me, is what I would consider "The Overture". It uses the theme, progresses the show, and helps set the tone for the audience.
This was also the first track I had made for "Almost, Maine." When Noah asked me to write the music for the show, I made this, as a demo, after reading the script, to see whether or not he would be interested in it.
